Staff access and permissions?

I want to know what my team will get access to if I give them permissions to different areas of the site

There are 4 different permission areas on Nursery Story

  • Admin

  • Send Messages

  • Requires observations approval

  • Post announcements

Toggle Blue = Active

Toggle Grey = Inactive

Admin

Admin users have access to the full suite of functions including:

  • Observations approvals

  • Add Rooms/Staff/Children

  • Settings

  • Manage my subscription

  • Bookings (Growth tier)

By default new accounts will setup the first user as an admin, you can set as many admins as you like

Send messages

Toggle this on/off to allow staff members to use the messaging functions

All staff members can view all messages to allow for clear access.

Requires observations approval

Toggle on if you would like to add a layer of approval before content reaches the Feed.

Admins will be alerted that they have approval waiting for them in Feed > Approvals

Observations impacted are: L&D Observation, general Observation & Accident/Incident Logs. The remaining observations types (Food/Drink Log, Nap Log, Toileting Log) will all post directly to the feed regardless of permissions.

Post Announcements

Announcements are a different form of post that can be pushed to the feed allowing for both communication with children's teams but also for staff-only posts. These we call announcements.

With this enabled, the FDeed will appear like this:

With this disabled, it will appear like this, only displaying Observations:
