Tracking Report

See how often children are observed and which EYFS areas you’re covering.

What the Tracking report shows

Use this report to understand:

  • How regularly observations are being made.

  • Which EYFS areas each child (and your setting overall) is being observed against.

  • Coverage gaps so you can plan next observations.

One observation can cover multiple EYFS areas. If a single observation is tagged to 3 areas, each of those areas is counted once.

Where to find it

From the Home screen, go to Reports → Tracking (EYFS).

Set your filters

Choose filters, then tap Generate.

  • Rooms – All rooms or a specific room.

  • Term – All time or select an individual term.

  • Custom Date Range – Override terms with exact dates.

  • Key Person – Show only children linked to a selected staff member.

What you’ll see

  1. Group tracking data
Counts of L&D observations by EYFS area across your selected filters.

    • Example: 1 observation tagged to 7 learning areas = 7 total area counts.

  2. Total Areas Observed
A simple tally of how many area-tags have been recorded (not the number of posts).

  3. Child Cards
Tap a child to open their Individual Monitoring report for a deeper, child-level view.

Tips

  • Tag every observation to the relevant EYFS areas for accurate counts.

  • Use the Key Person filter for supervisions and audits.

  • Pair this with the Monitoring report to see not just how often, but how children are progressing.
