What monitoring reports do
Monitoring reports summarise how children are progressing based on the observations you’ve recorded, mapped to your chosen learning framework.
Frameworks supported: Development Matters (2021) and Birth to 5 Matters.
Both use the same Monitoring Titles, so they generate the same style of reports.
How to find it
From the Home screen, go to: Reports → Monitoring (EYFS)
Set your filters
Choose the filters you need, then tap Generate.
Rooms - All rooms, or pick one room.
Term - All time, or a specific term.
Custom Date Range - Override terms with exact dates.
Key Person - Show only children linked to a selected staff member.
Tip: Use Custom Date Range for mid-term snapshots or inspections.

Group Monitoring
A setting-wide view of coverage and progress across the Monitoring Titles—driven by your Learning Framework and L&D observations.Child Cards
Tap any child to open their Individual Monitoring report for a deeper breakdown.
Notes & best practice
Make sure observations are tagged to the correct framework elements - that’s what powers the report.
Keep observations current (photos, notes, outcomes) so the report reflects the latest development.
Switch frameworks any time in Settings → Learning Frameworks (your existing observations remain).
