Creating a Closed Day

Use Closed Days to mark any day you’re not working that isn’t already covered by term dates (e.g., bank holidays, training/INSET, personal closures). Closed Days flow through to registers, bookings, and invoices.

Add a Closed Day

Settings → Attendance Calendar

  1. Click + Add closed day.

  2. Pick the date range (one day or multiple days).

  3. Choose the type (e.g., Bank Holiday, Training Day).

  4. Add a short note (optional).

  5. Click Save.

The closed day will appear in the calendar month view for the selected academic year.

View or change a Closed Day

  • Click the closed day in the calendar to open the preview.

  • Edit to change dates, type, or note.

  • Delete to remove it (this re-opens that day).h’s view

Tips

  • Add bank holidays and planned training days at the start of the year.

  • If you change a closed day, check any affected bookings/invoices so they still match your plan.

  • Use Opening Hours for your regular weekly schedule; use Closed Days for exceptions.
